Evli’s Trainee Program 2027: Private Equity Internship

TEAM

In addition to international private equity fund investments, the Evli Private Equity (fund-of-funds) team makes direct minority investments in international unlisted companies alongside leading international private equity funds. The team currently comprises twelve experienced professionals; three specialize in direct minority investments, while the others focus on fund investments. Evli’s private equity and infrastructure funds are currently seeking new investment opportunities for funds that are still in the fundraising phase.

ROLE

As an intern, you will participate in a wide range of team tasks covering the entire investment process for direct unlisted investments or fund investments, with a particular focus on the project evaluation (due diligence) phase. You will also assist with investor reporting regarding portfolio companies and the fund itself, and support the team in the fund selection process.

KEY SUCCESS FACTORS

Success in this role requires precision, the ability to independently research and analyze information, and, above all, a genuine interest in private equity. An understanding of corporate analysis, private equity, and valuation will contribute to success in the role. We also expect you to have:

• an analytical mindset and creativity

• experience in financial modeling (experience with LBO models is an asset)

• strong presentation skills

• excellent interpersonal and collaboration skills

• a positive, proactive attitude and a commitment to continuous improvement

• major studies in finance, accounting, or industrial engineering and management (having already completed a Bachelor’s degree)

• excellent proficiency in English and Finnish

• prior work experience in areas such as M&A advisory, private equity, or strategic consulting is considered an asset.
