President
The President leads Women’s Career Society and holds overall responsibility for the organization’s direction, development, and operations. The role combines strategic leadership, external representation, partner relations, and team leadership while ensuring continuity from one board to the next.
Key responsibilities include:
Defining and driving WCS’s strategy and long-term direction
Leading, supporting, and motivating the board
Maintaining key partner relationships and developing new opportunities
Representing WCS externally
Overseeing operations, finances, governance, and administrative responsibilities
Initiating and overseeing the mentorship program
Developing WCS’s structures and ways of working
Building a positive and supportive board culture
Ensuring effective handover and onboarding of the next board
Vice President
The Vice President works closely with the President in leading WCS and turning the organization’s strategy into action. The role is flexible, with responsibilities divided between the President and Vice President based on their strengths and preferences.
Key responsibilities include:
Supporting strategic decision-making and organizational development
Supporting and coordinating projects across the board
Assisting with partnerships and external representation
Supporting event execution and other board activities
Coordinating internal activities and team-building
Maintaining meeting notes, documentation, contracts, and shared files
Supporting practical and administrative tasks
Stepping in for the President when needed
Helping maintain strong communication and collaboration across the board
Head of Finance & Sponsorships
The Head of Finance & Sponsorships is responsible for WCS’s financial management and helps secure the resources needed to carry out the organization’s activities. The role combines financial planning and administration with fundraising and sponsor relations.
Key responsibilities include:
Preparing and monitoring the annual budget
Managing bookkeeping, receipts, invoices, and financial documentation
Preparing financial reports and statements
Supporting event budgeting and monitoring expenses
Keeping the board informed about WCS’s financial situation
Applying for grants and other external funding
Managing fundraising activities
Contacting and maintaining relationships with sponsors
Supporting sponsorship acquisition and related agreements
Coordinating merchandise orders and related expenses
Ensuring responsible use of WCS’s funds and financial continuity for the next board
Head of Brand
The Head of Brand is responsible for developing and safeguarding the WCS brand. The role ensures that everything WCS communicates feels cohesive and reflects the organization as professional, ambitious, warm, approachable, and inclusive.
Key responsibilities include:
Maintaining and developing WCS’s overall brand identity
Ensuring consistent use of brand guidelines, including visual identity and tone of voice
Overseeing the quality and consistency of WCS communications across channels
Working closely with the Social Media and Communications teams
Supporting the creation of branded materials and visuals
Ensuring WCS’s events, partnerships, website, and digital channels reflect a cohesive brand
Identifying opportunities to strengthen brand awareness and engagement
Developing the brand as WCS and its audience evolve
Social Media Coordinator
The Social Media Team builds WCS’s digital presence and ensures that the organization remains visible, relevant, and engaging across its channels. Social Media Coordinators focus on creating and publishing content and bringing that strategy to life.
Key responsibilities include:
Planning and executing WCS’s social media strategy supported by Head of Brand
Creating content and visuals for events, partnerships, blogs, and other WCS activities
Managing WCS’s social media channels and content calendar
Ensuring events and important information are communicated on time
Collaborating closely with the Brand and Communications teams
Coordinating partner-related social media content
Developing concepts such as Takeover Tuesdays and introducing new content ideas
Tracking analytics and using insights to improve content
Maintaining a consistent, engaging, and empowering WCS voice across channels
The Head of Brand has primary responsibility for strategy, planning, coordination, and performance, while the Social Media Coordinators focus more on content creation, publishing, and day-to-day channel management.
Communications Coordinator
The Communications Coordinator creates and manages WCS’s longer-form communications, helping share the organization’s activities, partnerships, and community stories. The role includes newsletters, website content, interviews, blog posts, and partner communications.
Key responsibilities include:
Creating and publishing the monthly WCS newsletter
Planning and conducting interviews with partners and other relevant professionals
Coordinating partner event promotions and email communications
Maintaining and updating the WCS website
Publishing event recaps and other blog content
Coordinating entrepreneurship stories and interviews
Working with event responsibles to collect content following events
Managing communications through tools such as Mailchimp and Squarespace
Collaborating closely with the Brand, Social Media teams and Head of Operations
Developing new communication concepts and content ideas
Head of Operations
The Head of Operations ensures that WCS’s activities and events run smoothly in practice. The role connects different areas of the board, keeps track of deadlines and responsibilities, and provides hands-on support wherever needed.
Key responsibilities include:
Coordinating WCS’s event planning and operational activities
Keeping track of event schedules, deadlines, and responsibilities
Delegating event-related tasks and following up on their progress
Supporting Event Coordinators with planning and practical arrangements
Ensuring smooth execution of events and acting as a key contact person on-site
Coordinating closely with the President, Vice President, Finance, Social Media, Communications, and other board members
Managing or forwarding operational emails and requests
Coordinating event registration, RSVP forms, and participant information
Making sure relevant information reaches Social Media and Communications teams on time
Identifying practical issues early and helping the team solve them
Event Coordinator
The Event Coordinators bring WCS’s events to life. They take ownership of individual events from the initial idea through planning and execution to post-event follow-up, working closely with the Head of Operations and other board functions.
Key responsibilities include:
Planning and organizing assigned WCS events
Contacting and coordinating with venues, speakers, companies, and other stakeholders
Developing event concepts, schedules, and practical arrangements
Coordinating participant selection and RSVPs
Working with Finance on event budgets and expenses
Providing event information and deadlines to the Social Media and Communications teams
Preparing materials and practical arrangements before events
Being present and taking responsibility during event execution
Sending post-event feedback forms and collecting participant feedback
Sharing learnings and documenting relevant information for future events
