VALOR Partners - Tips of the month
VALOR Partners presenting Tips of the month!
For the month of April, we’ve had the amazing possibility to invite VALOR Partners to share their Tips of the month with our society. We got to interview two amazing ladies, Anna-Rosa and Sonja are going to give their personal recommendations.
“When working in management consulting, every day presents us with something new to learn, sometimes at a rather intense pace – that’s why we wanted to give our personal tips on how we like to take our minds off work by trying out new activities. Stepping outside your comfort zone also on your free time can never do harm, as it’s a part of our job to always be ready to meet new challenges with an open mind.”

VALOR Partners
Company Introduction
VALOR Partners is a management consulting and corporate finance boutique that was founded in 2011.
Our offering consists of a unique combination of investment banking and management consulting, specializing in TMT, energy, social and health care and private equity as our competence verticals.
We are a fast-growing company, with around 40 professionals working with us in a low-hierarchy and energetic work environment.
Best part about VALOR?
A growing business means great growth opportunities both as a team and as individuals – at VALOR you gain and are expected to take ownership straight from the start regardless of your title
At VALOR you are encouraged to take on projects according to your own areas of interest – this adds to the sense of purpose and impact of our work.
Tip of the month: Monthly Sport Events
Why did you choose this recommendation?
VALOR arranges monthly sport events for all employees. During the past months we have tried mountain biking, aerial yoga and curling, just to name a few! These events provide the possibility to try out new sports that we maybe otherwise wouldn’t, counterbalance our at times hectic days at work and also give the chance to catch up with colleagues in a relaxed environment outside of the office.
Sonja, Associate at VALOR
Tip of the month: Golf
Tell us about yourself?
I am Sonja, an associate at VALOR Partners. I have been working in management consulting for the past three years.
My study background is from Aalto University School of Business, where I studied Economics as my major.
Why did you choose this recommendation?
As a person with no background in any similar sports, golf has definitely been a step outside my comfort zone. Challenging myself, seeing gradual improvement and spending time outdoors with friends has proved to be a great way to stay active and also help maintain a work-life balance during spring and summer months.
Anna-Rosa, Senior Associate at VALOR
Tip of the month: Kayaking trips
Tell us about yourself?
My name’s Anna-Rosa and I’m a senior associate at VALOR Partners. I first started my career in management consulting as a trainee next to my studies in 2017, after which I’ve worked as an analyst and a consultant before joining VALOR last year.
I graduated Aalto University School of Business in 2020, majoring in Information and Service Management.
Why did you choose this recommendation?
Kayaking is something I really discovered last summer with my friends, through a couple of overnight trips to different Finnish national parks. You get to experience beautiful scenery in nature in a totally new way as well as to challenge yourself physically, while taking your mind off everything you left in the city. An activity I recommend as worthy of exploring, which I’m looking forward to continuing this upcoming summer myself!
